As well as uncovering some hidden gems that many locals are not aware of we will also be giving you the chance to learn about the regions food history and the wider story of food and drink in Britain over the ages. We will explore the spice trade, the co-operative movement, the diet of a Mancunian millworker and the one time largest covered market in Europe.
How long is the tour?
The tour will last approximately 3.5 hours and will start and finish in the city centre.
Are vouchers available?
Yes we offer vouchers which are redeemable for 12 months from the date of purchase. Just click select the voucher option on the booking page.
Can children come on the tour?
The tour is designed with adults in mind. We are more than happy to welcome children of any age on the tour though children under the age of ten may get bored! Any children between 10 and 16 will require a ticket at the discounted cost of £35 and if you wish to bring along children of a younger age then please email to let us know.
Can I book a private tour?
We would love to organise a private food tour for you and your friends/family/colleagues. Just send us an email with dates, budget and number of guests and we will get back to you with some ideas Scranchestertours@gmail.com
Can I drink alcohol on the tour?
There will be opportunities to buy alcoholic drinks at two of the stops and there will be at least one tasting as part of the tour.
Is there a waiting list?
If there is a specific tour which is currently showing as fully booked then just drop us a line at scranchestertours@gmail.com and let us know the date and we will let you know should any spaces become available.
Are there vegetarian options on the tours?

I have a food allergy can you cater for me?
We will try, where possible, to cater for any food allergies or intolerances you may have, please email scranchestertours@gmail.com with your requirements.
What if it is bad weather
Tours will run in all weather, just make sure you wear appropriate clothing.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds, however, with a minimum of 48 hours’ (from the tours start time) we will be able to transfer your booking to an available tour.
Can I bring my dog?
Some of the places we visit do not allow dogs so sadly we can only allow certified registered guide dogs
